<p>Quan sát này tại một quán cà phê ở Berlin đã dẫn dắt nhà tâm lý học Bluma Zeigarnik thực hiện nghiên cứu kinh điển năm 1927, phát hiện ra <strong>Hiệu ứng Zeigarnik</strong> (<em>Zeigarnik Effect</em>).</p>

<p>Trong phòng thí nghiệm, Zeigarnik giao cho người tham gia khoảng 20 tác vụ nhỏ (giải câu đố, xâu hạt, xếp hình).
